In my case, I have Deus Ex installed to my G:\DeusEx directory. ** It is at this point I'll make a suggestion that you make a complete backup of your Deus Ex directory. Now that Deus Ex is installed (but it will NOT work yet) we just need to download 2 files.

Then, in my Deus Ex Install directory on my hard drive, all you need to do is right click on the Setup.exe and select Run as administrator option (if you don't do this, it will more than likely lock up while uncompressing the files and hang forever). The solution for me that worked was, making a new directory on my Hard Drive named Deus Ex Install, and then copying all the contents of the Deus Ex CD to this new directory. If you are one of the people, like me, that own the original CD of this game (I specifically have the GOTY edition), I had problems installing it from the CD. IT WILL NOT WORK WITH ANY OF THE MODS BELOW. If you are using this version, nothing in this guide will help you.
